Georgia Tech tries to put UGA disaster behind them

Georgia Tech hopes to rebound from a rough loss to Georgia when they face Florida State in the ACC Championship Game this Saturday.

Georgia Tech suffered an embarrassing 42-10 defeat at the hands of rival Georgia this past Saturday, leaving the Yellow Jackets with a bad taste in their mouth as they prepare for the upcoming ACC Championship Game against the No. 13 Florida State Seminoles.

Yellow Jackets coach Paul Johnson knows that his team must re-focus, otherwise they will face a similar fate against the Seminoles (via the Atlanta Journal-Constitution):

"We've got to see if we can't play better than we did Saturday, or we'll get the same result," Johnson said.

Florida State will also be looking to rally from a loss in a rivalry game, as the Seminoles lost 37-26 to Florida on Saturday. The normally stout Florida State defense was shredded for 24 points in the fourth quarter, which could give the explosive Georgia Tech rushing attack some confidence heading into this weekend's game.

Johnson is hoping that his team will bounce back after the rough loss to Georgia, but he admits that you never know how guys will react to a defeat like that:

"You never know," said Johnson, asked about his team's ability to rebound. "You hope we'll bounce back. I'm sure Florida State's fighting a little bit of the same thing (Sunday) after their game with Florida."
