It was ugly at times, very little went right for the Jackets, and yet Tech is only down 11 heading to the second half. Players from both teams tripped over their own feet, there were a ton of dropped balls, and questionable refereeing. Just another day in the ACC.
Tevin Washington has been efficient, even good at times. The Jackets have 178 total yards and 146 on the ground. He has looked poised in the pocket, and has thrown a handful of good looking passes downfield. He is only 1 for 4 for 32 yards, but had another pass broken up on a nice play by the defender.
On the ground, the Jackets are led by Anthony Allen who has 52 yards. Washington has carried 13 times for 48 yards, and Orwin Smith has contributed with 28 important yards rushing and has the only catch.
Stephen Morris is 5 for 12 for 83 yards, and has 16 yards rushing. Damien Berry and Lamar Miller have done most of the damage for the Huricanes, combining for 129 yards.
Georgia Tech honored the 1990 National Championship team at halftime. Coach Bobby Ross was here and spoke a few words.
The PA announcer at Tech: "And (the team) didn't need a fifth-down to have 11 wins, no losses and one tie" #GT #1990reunion
Tech gets the ball to start the second half. The Jackets have been able to move the ball, but have stalled as the neared the red zone.
