Georgia Tech jumped out to a 9-0 lead, and never looked back. There was a ton to like in the first half if you were a Yellow Jacket. The team shot 55% from the field, made 67% of their free throws, and had 11 assists to only 3 turnovers on the way to a 48-24 halftime lead.
The Jacket defense forced Niagara to shoot only 27% from the field and 11% from three-point territory. The defense was stifling, pressing for long stretches of time, and had six steals in twenty minutes.
Brian Oliver leads the Jackets with 15 points, and eight different Tech players have scored.
The Tech offense has continued to show improvement after Wednesday's game. The passing around the perimeter and interior has been fun to watch at times. It honestly is as good as I have seen a Tech team pass in a long while .
The Tech big men have rotated out well, with Kammeon Holsey, Nate Hicks, and Daniel Miller all getting playing time and making in impact with their chances.
Three other good looking stats for Jacket fans. Tech leads in bench scoring 11-0, fast break scoring 10-0, and points in the paint 24-8.
