It truly is amazing how much momentum seems to affect a game. Georgia Tech was lifeless, getting stopped on offense and struggling on defense. The crowd was out of it, and nothing was working. An 85 yard interception return for a touchdown by Mario Butler changed all that.
The Jackets got the ball back after a defensive stop, and the offense look as good as it has all day, driving down for the score. The key play of the drive came on a 33 yard run by Orwin Smith on a pitch to the left side through a big hole. Quarterback Tevin Washington sneaked it in to give Tech the 23-13 lead.
Duke quickly answered though, as Sean Renfree connected with Austin Kelly for a 37 yard touchdown to make the score 23-20.
Interesting side note: Apparently Georgia players Aaron Murray and Tavarres King are sitting in the Tech student section, wearing UGA warmups.
