Georgia Tech Vs. Virginia Tech Score Update: 14-7 Jackets, Ryan Williams Puts The Hokies On The Board

Well, Virginia Tech responded well. The offense was diverse, and the Georgia Tech defense was gashed.

The Hokies started at the 23 yard line. Tyrod Taylor completed two passes early, one for 23 yards to Jarrett Boykin and the other 9 yards to Ryan Williams. The Jackets dropped back to cover the pass more, and the rushing offense took over.

Taylor had two carries for 15 yards, and Ryan Williams carried four times for 21 yards and the touchdown conversion.

Georgia Tech missed a huge opportunity to take the crowd completely out of the game. The Hokies were down big and quickly, and if the Tech defense had been able to make a stop, a lot of the life would have left Lane Stadium.

One thing to watch going forward is what adjustments Virginia Tech defensive coordinator Bud Foster will make to attempt to stop the spread triple option offense.
