Fresh off of its 78-58 victory over the North Carolina Tar Heels, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have escaped the ACC cellar for the first time this season. Things are tight at the top of the standings with the Duke Blue Devils, Florida St. Seminoles, and Boston College Eagles all off to 3-1 starts. The Clemson Tigers and North Carolina are both at 2-1 and within shouting distance of the top.
The Yellow Jackets have an opportunity to put together a mini win streak as they host the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Wednesday, which is the only ACC team still searching for a conference victory. Duke had looked invincible until their upset loss at the hands of FSU, which also knocked the Devils from the No. 1 spot in the national rankings.
