Stephon Tuitt Says Georgia Tech 'Is Where My Heart Was' During Entire Recruiting Process

Five-star Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets commit Stephon Tuitt (I think I’ll type it again!) says of his decision to de-commit from the Notre Dame Fighting Irish:

I think it’s where my heart was the whole time. I feel like I made a decision I can be comfortable with. I feel like Tech is building a great football team and I’m glad to be a part of it.

Tuitt says he made the decision after visiting Tech this weekend. He spent the weekend talking to his mother and his coach from Monroe Area High School. He then called Notre Dame coaches Tuesday to give them the bad news, then called Paul Johnson.

Tuitt is the highest-rated recruit to commit to Tech since the idea of rating recruits began. Defensive line has never been a strong recruiting spot for Tech, and it’s as critical now as ever, since the team has recently switched to a 3-4 system.
