Georgia Tech Recruiting: Tre Jackson Visiting FSU, Miami Days Before National Signing Day, According To Reports

Three-star DT Tre Jackson, a longtime Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets commit, has re-opened his recruitment after receiving late offers from the Florida Gators, Miami Hurricanes, Florida St. Seminoles, and others. Jackson is visiting Miami and FSU this weekend, according to reports, a very busy schedule indeed if true.

This is the second (or so? Help me out here) time a Paul Johnson recruit has had his scholly offer revoked for agreeing to visit another school.

It looks like Jackson may indeed have been one of those diamond-in-the-rough players. Most college football fans like to think any unheralded player their team lands has just somehow sneaked under the radar. Welp, the secret on Jackson is out now.

Jackson’s impending exit may have been another reason for Tech to offer Trey Flowers, as they’re running out of defensive linemen in a hurry. That position group was a major weakness for the Jackets in 2010, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to get a huge boost this offseason.

Is there anybody out there a school besides FSU is allowed to sign? The Noles are cleaning up right now.
