Georgia Tech Commit Trey Flowers Visits Arkansas Recruiting Event, According To Report

Did Huntsville DE Trey Flowers, the most recent commit to the 2011 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets recruiting class, visit the Arkansas Razorbacks Friday night? A series of posts on Razorbacks message board Hogville lists him among the several recruits attending some extremely Arkansas-sounding event taking place at something called Catfish Hole.

And they're definitely talking about the same Flowers, mentioning him as being a Tech commit.

If Flowers took a visit after committing to Georgia Tech, he’d be the second Tre/Trey defensive lineman in as many days to test Paul Johnson’s if-the-player-commits-he-must-not-visit (no Johnnie Cochran) recruiting rule, though it's not clear whether this would constitute an official visit, if it's true. The Jackets were thin at defensive line throughout the season, and losing two defensive line prospects in two days would be a frightening situation indeed with national signing day just days away.

Flowers was recruited by Arkansas State, LSU, Auburn — Tech was actually the easternmost school that recruited him, so Arkansas wouldn’t be out of the range of schools that had an interest. Still, it’s just a post on a message board for now.

Yesterday longtime Tech commit Tre Jackson had his scholarship offer revoked after he accepted visits to Florida State and/or Miami.
