Georgia Tech Vs. Virginia Update: Tevin Washington, Rod Sweeting Tie It Up

Those quick-strike Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets? They have quick-struck. With two touchdowns in 98 seconds, Tech has tied the Virginia Cavaliers back up after facing their biggest challenge of the year so far.

First, Tevin Washington ran in a seven-yarder to conclude an 11-play, 80-yard drive, and then Rod Sweeting picked off Michael Rocco and ran it back 32 yards. The Jackets have rushed for 143 yards, but are 0-for-3 through the air. That's more like it.

All the pressure is now on Virginia, whose quarterback has just reverted to the type of thing that's gotten him in trouble before. The Cavs subbed in David Watford at quarterback, but it's hard to say whether that change will stand for the rest of the game.
