The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets put up what should've been a 45-21 win against the N.C. State Wolfpack, if not for a last-minute, two-touchdown surge by the Pack. Either way, Associated Press Top 25 and USA Today Coaches Poll voters liked what they saw read about overheard and have advanced the Jackets from No. 21 to No. 13.
This week's Sagarin ratings, which are pretty much always better, have Tech at No. 14. As always, the Coaches Poll is decrepit and useless, with the Oklahoma Sooners holding the No. 1 spot over the superior LSU Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide. The AP likes LSU, while the computers love Bama.
And I don't want you to fall and hurt yourself, so I'm just gonna come right out and say it: the Clemson Tigers are ranked No. 8 in each human poll. The Georgia Bulldogs are still lingering in the AP's No. 30 range.
