Clemson Vs. Georgia Tech: Andre Ellington Expected To Play, Says Dabo Swinney

Despite a sprained ankle that limited him to only 7 yards in 5 carries against North Carolina last weekend, Clemson Tigers running back Andre Ellington is expected to play this weekend in the Tigers' prime-time showdown against Georgia Tech:

Dabo thinks Ellington will be ready to play Saturday ... he's still limited in practice

Ellington, a 5'10 190 junior who has emerged as a star this season, is one of many Tigers players with the explosive athletic ability to be a big-play threat on every down. He's rushed for 745 yards on 146 carries this season, more than he had in either his freshman or sophomore campaigns.

He had a career day in the week before the injury, rushing for 212 yards on 24 carries and scoring 2 TD's against Maryland. However, the ankle injury may have lingering effects on his speed this weekend.
