Georgia Tech Vs. Clemson: ESPN College GameDay A Possiblity

The 5-0, No. 13 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the 5-0, No. 8 Clemson Tigers. Few expected any portion of that to happen, but here we are. If both teams can keep it going, there's a nice piece of national exposure that could be in store:

ESPN GameDay is considering setting up shop for the Oct. 29 Clemson-Georgia Tech game. A spokeswoman for the network said it's on a list of about four candidates for that weekend ... The decision won't get made until [Oct.] 22.

Atlanta hosts GameDay all the time, via the SEC Championship Game and the Chick-fil-A game, but hasn't enjoyed an on-campus hosting in quite a while. Tech hasn't welcomed GameDay since it played Notre Dame in 2006.

Of course, both teams will have to stay undefeated to ensure that kind of attention. Tech's road is manageable -- vs. Maryland at home, then Virginia and a depleted Miami on the road -- while Clemson has lowly Boston College, Maryland and UNC. Even a loss for each team could still make it a top-20 contest between rivals.
