Georgia Tech Vs. Maryland Final Score: Jackets Hang On, Become Bowl Eligible

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets got just enough out of their defense in the second half to make 21 points enough for a win over the Maryland Terrapins. The Jackets are now 6-0 and 3-0 in the ACC, making them the first team in the nation to become bowl eligible. With Texas getting plastered, look for Tech to move very close to the top 10.

The big story coming out of this game will be Maryland's quarterback situation. C.J. Brown and Danny O'Brien combined to go five-of-23, with wide receiver Tony Logan's sole pass netting almost half of Maryland's 87 passing yards. Other than one 77-yard touchdown sprint by Brown, Tech's defense clamped down pretty well.

Tevin Washington was the bulk of the Jackets offense, running for 120 yards and throwing for 114. David Sims added 83 and Stephen Hill caught 50.

Next for Tech: a trip to Virginia.
