Georgia Basketball Vs. Bowling Green Score: Bulldogs Take 33-22 Halftime Lead In CBE Classic Opener

Gerald Robinson has nine points and John Florveus six as the Georgia Bulldogs take a 33-22 lead into halftime against Bowling Green in the opener of the CBE Classic. The Bulldogs shot 50 percent from the field in the first half and forced the Falcons into 11 first half turnovers.

Georgia's lead would likely be much larger if not for the rebounding disparity that is keeping Bowling Green in the game. The Falcons out rebounded the Bulldogs 21-11 including a 9-1 advantage on the offensive glass. Still Georgia's defense was good enough to limit the Falcons to just 30 percent shooting while going 9-30 from the field.

The Bulldogs went deep into their bench with nine players playing and eight scoring in the first half. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope started but picked up two early fouls and is the only Bulldogs' player to play and not score. Robinson has three assists for the Bulldogs while Donte Williams added two blocks. Caldwell-Pope leads the Bulldogs in rebounding with three.

Scott Thomas leads the Falcons with nine points and eight rebounds in the first half.
