Let's be honest. The average Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets fan doesn't really care about the game that precedes the Georgia Bulldogs game, while the average Duke Blue Devils fan doesn't really care about football games. So let's get through this quickly.
The Jackets outshot Duke, 38-31, to emerge from Wallace Wade Stadium with a victory and hang on to their respectable bowl standing. Tech moves to 8-3 on the year, an excellent mark for a team that was predicted to finish in the lower half of the Coastal Division.
Despite putting up 549 yards, almost 200 more than Duke, the Jackets turned the ball over twice and saw the Blue Devils match them pace-for-pace throughout much of the game. Tevin Washington is your offensive hero, putting up 136 yards rushing and 185 through the air.
