The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets got their first 2012 commits in a while, with the first weekend of visits season yielding three-star defensive back D.J. White of McDonough and defensive back/wide receiver Anthony Autry of Norcross.
Tech's 2012 class had been thin in the secondary heading into the weekend, with only three-star Antonio Crawford already aboard. The Jackets are up to 12 commits.
White, a longtime South Florida Bulls commit, had offers from Auburn, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and others. Autry's most impressive offers were from Appalachian State and Indiana.
Actually, all you need to know about White's talent: he got a hug from Paul Johnson after flipping on USF. The last man Paul Johnson hugged is buried beneath Beautiful Eagle Creek, but that may have been a different sort of hug.
