2011 Sun Bowl, Georgia Tech Vs. Utah Halftime Score: Utes Lead 10-7 At The Break

The first half of the 2011 Sun Bowl is in the books and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets triple-option attack is shredding the Utah Utes rush defense with 232 rushing yards so far, but only have seven points to show for their efforts. Running back Preston Lyons has 130 of those yards and a touchdown; the 130 yards is a season high for Lyons with still the second half ahead for him to improve on that mark.

Georgia Tech's touchdown came on a nine-play 80-yard drive with Lyons capping the drive on a 36 yard score. Tech has had chances in this game but they have missed a pair of field goals and have one turnover as well.

Georgia Tech has been able to hold Utah running back John White IV to only 44 yards in the first half and they have held the Utah passing game in check by allowing only 98 passing yards so far.

Georgia Tech is trailing 10-7 due to penalties, turnover and the pair of field goals. Take care of those errors and Georgia Tech can come back in this game.
