2011 Sun Bowl, Georgia Tech Vs. Utah Score: Yellow Jackets Scored 17 Unanswered Points, Lead 24-10

The Georgia Tech Yellows Jackets are on a roll and have now scored 17 straight points in the second half to take a 24-10 lead over the Utah Utes. The Georgia Tech defense has been dominating the Utah offense so far in the second half.

Georgia Tech forced Utah to punt and the offense was pinned down on their own 13-yard line. However, Georgia Tech went to the air as on the first play of the drive Tevin Johnson completed a 58-yard pass to Embry Peeples to get to the Utah 29-yard line. After a false state penalty and two short running plays, Johnson went back into the air and completed a 31-yard touchdown pass to Stephen Hill to give Tech a 17-10 lead. The touchdown pass was Johnson's first in seven games.

On the next Utah drive, quarterback Jon Hays threw an interception to Quayshawn Nealy who returned the pick 74 yards for a touchdown to give Georgia Tech a 24-10 lead late in the third quarter.
