NCAA Basketball Standings: Alabama Tops SEC While Duke Clings To ACC Lead

As the calendar turns to February, there has been little separation at the top of the ACC or SEC standings. Alabama finds itself with the SEC's best record at 5-1 and has a cushion at the top of the Western Division over Arkansas. The East is just as muddled as before with the 5-2 Florida Gators holding a slim lead over 4-2 Kentucky and Tennessee. Vandy is nationally ranked at No. 24 in this week's AP Top 25 poll but is just 3-3 while Georgia is dead last with a 3-4 record but still well within striking distance.  Big games this week include Vandy-Florida tonight and Kentucky-Florida on Saturday.

In the ACC, Duke clings to the top spot in the conference by just a half game over the suddenly charging North Carolina Tar Heels. Florida State is one game back but there is a four-way tie for the No. 4 spot in the conference between Virginia Tech, Boston College, Maryland, and Clemson. Georgia Tech is three games back with a 3-4 conference mark. Big games this week include UNC-Boston College tonight and Duke-Maryland on Thursday.

Complete standings after the jump.
