North Carolina QB Vad Lee is officially a member of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 2011 class, sending in his letter of intent just after 8 a.m. While Jabari Hunt-Days is the most highly touted member of the class, Lee has gotten the most attention.
He’s an athletic three-star quarterback who had offers to eight other schools, including Maryland, North Carolina, and N.C. State. Rivals rates him as the state’s No. 26 prospect.
Lee has been an active recruiter since committing to Tech, taking to Twitter and becoming a Yellow Jackets digital outpost, publicly commenting on the before and after of the Stephon Tuitt debacle with a smile. All while leading his high school team to a state title. Not bad.
With the de-commit of Airyn Willis, who was expected to play WR at Tech anyway, Lee is the only quarterback slated to sign in the 2011 class. He’s got some names ahead of him on the depth chart, but he’s a promising quarterback of the future for Yellow Jackets fans.
