No. No they can't. But if Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets basketball were able to pull off its most confounding win of the season against the No. 5 Duke Blue Devils tonight, that would mean all five top-five teams in the AP top 25 poll lost in the same week for the first time since ... I don't know.
↵The last time the top four all lost in one week was 2003.
↵The Kansas Jayhawks, Ohio St. Buckeyes, Texas Longhorns, and Pittsburgh Panthers all lost since Monday morning, when the latest rankings came out. Kansas got the party started right away, falling to the Kansas St. Wildcats later that night.
↵The Nebraska Cornhuskers got a sliver of revenge against Texas for all those football losses, and St. John's took down Pitt yesterday. Ohio State gave up a sure No. 1 ranking by losing to the Purdue Boilermakers earlier today.
↵The top 25 doesn't really matter in college hoops, since it's all about tourney seeding anyway. But the Jackets don't really have a whole lot else to play for tonight.
