ACC Basketball Tournament 2011 Bracket, Schedule: Duke, North Carolina Make Debuts

The first round of the 2011 ACC Tournament is through and it passed without any major upsets. The second round today looks to have thrilling match-ups:

No. 1 North Carolina vs. Miami, Noon, ACC Network/ESPN2
No. 4 Clemson vs. Boston College, 2 p.m., ACC Network/ESPN2
No. 2 Duke vs. NC State, 7 p.m., ACC Network/ESPN2
No. 3 Florida State vs. Virginia Tech, 9 p.m., ACC Network/ESPN2

Duke and North Carolina will both make their debut today, but the attention will be focused on the bubble contenders. Virginia Tech most likely solidified a spot in the tournament yesterday with the win over Georgia Tech, but needs to put up a good performance today against Florida State. SB Nation's Blogging the Bracket has Virginia Tech as one of the last four in, so another victory over a top squad would be helpful.

Blogging the Bracket has Clemson as one of the last four in and Boston College as one of the next four in. Needless to say, that battle at 2 p.m. is huge for both teams. Duke and North Carolina should have no issues with their match ups, but Miami always seems to put together an upset bid in the postseason.
