The Duke Blue Devils got revenge for a late-season loss to rival North Carolina with a 75-58 victory Sunday afternoon to win the 2011 ACC Tournament. The title is the 13th for Coach Krzyzewski and 19th overall for the Duke program.
Six separate Duke players, led by Nolan Smith's 20, reached at least nine points in the offensive exhibition. With the win, Duke will have a great shot at a top seed when the brackets are announced tonight.
North Carolina's Harrison Barnes only had 16 points, down from yesterday's 40, while the team combined to shoot only 33.9% in the tough outing. The Tar Heels greatly helped their seeding with a strong finish to the regular season and the run to the championship game.
