The complete 2011 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament bracket debuted Monday night on ESPN, with UConn, Tennessee, Baylor, and Stanford taking the No. 1 seeds. No. 5 Georgia Tech and No. 6 Georgia are scheduled to play their round-one games as favorites, taking on Bowling Green and Middle Tennessee State respectively.
Tech gets a tough road draw, with Columbus a far more favorable commute for Bowling Green. Georgia's haul to Auburn is slightly shorter than MTSU's, but at least it's familiar turf.
The Huskies are again the overall favorites, though not by as wide a margin as in previous years. If everything plays out as expected, they could wind up with a national title rematch against the Stanford squad that broke their record winning streak.
The women's tournament begins Saturday, March 19 in the Philadelphia and Dayton regions. Every March 19 game will be shown on both ESPN2 and ESPN3, with ESPN joining the rotation on March 20. For a better guess on which of the various ESPNs will air each game, go here.
