Craig Neal (With Associate Mark Price) Set For Georgia Tech Basketball Interview, According To Report

Craig Neal, better known as “Noodles” during his Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets playing days, will interview with the school regarding its head coaching vacancy, according to Fox Sports’ Jeff Goodman. Goodman was the first to correctly report the firing of Paul Hewitt, so lend him your ear.

But wait, there’s more! According to Goodman, the package would include Mark Price as Neal’s associate head coach.

Neal is currently employed as New Mexico Lobos associate head coach. He’s also associate head coached Iowa Hawkeyes basketball to a rare period of excellence, bringing home a Big Ten title at one point. After his Tech playing career, he played in the NBA, CBA, and Europe before working as a NBA scout and assistant.

Neal and Price were teammates under Bobby Cremins in the mid-1980s, during perhaps the best extended stretch in Tech hoops history. Neal’s assists and steals totals rank among the best in program history.
