Chris Mooney Interviewing For Georgia Tech Basketball Coaching Job, According To Reports

Chris Mooney, head coach of the Richmond Spiders, was set to interview with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Saturday according to the Scout and Rivals outlets covering the program. The Scout site also reports the Brian Gregory report was false, meaning everybody’s reporting something different about the Dayton Flyers coach.

For a very detailed profile of Chris Mooney, visit our Missouri Tigers community, Rock M Nation.

Mooney is among the hottest items on the market after leading Richmond to consecutive NCAA Tournament bids, including a Sweet 16 appearance this year. His name might’ve popped up in Tech coaching search reports earlier, but he was detained by all the, you know, winning his team was doing.

By turning around the Richmond program, Mooney has shown he can win in the Southeast. He wouldn’t be the instant win with old-timers that a Craig Neal-Mark Price hire would be, but of course there’s a lot more to it than just making certain fans happy.
