Chad Dollar Joins Brian Gregory's Georgia Tech Basketball Coaching Staff

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets head coach Brian Gregory has made his first addition to the new staff, announcing the hire of Chad Dollar from Wichita State. The new assistant is from Atlanta which will pay huge dividends in the recruiting battles.

Dollar coached at Wichita State last year and helped lead them to an NIT Championship. The Shockers finshed second in the Missouri Valley and went 29-8 overall. His other coaching experience has been at Arkansas State, LSU, Murray State, Georgia Southern, Eastern Kentucky, and Western Carolina.

Perhaps his greatest benefit to the staff will be his knowledge of the recruiting trails in the southeast. Gregory has never coached in the south, and needed to hire someone that has. Dollar not only coached at Georgia Southern, but he also played high school basketball in Atlanta at Douglass High School.

Dollar brings a long coaching resume and strong recruiting connections in the south, both making him a great addition to the Georgia Tech staff.
