FSU Wins Spring Game Attendance Announcement Battle With Florida

Always impressed by the precision on display in north Florida college football. After the Florida Gators welcomed exactly 53,000 and not a soul* more into their spring game last weekend, the pressure (for some reason) was on Florida St. Seminoles fans to outperform. Considering precisely 51,000 FSU supporters, not 51,001 FSU supporters, made it to last year's Garnet & Gold Game, the Noles had a decent chance to top their state rivals today.

Because this stuff matters so much! FSU announced their attendance as 53,813, which you'll note is not a round number for once. That's how important it is to out-sit your enemies: even mathematical formalities may be abandoned. And going with 54,000 would look even more suspect than 53,813 does.

Florida State football: offseason champs once more!
