Former N.C. State Wolfpack QB Russell Wilson, currently a minor league baseball player in the Colorado Rockies organization, is reportedly considering various SEC schools -- like the Auburn Tigers, for instance -- for his senior season of college football. How do the Rockies feel about this?
Senior director of player development Marc Gustafson said to the Asheville Citizen-Times:
He's a premium athlete who doesn't know what he wants to do. Until we know something different, we consider him to be a baseball player only. Would we be disappointed if he chose to play football? Yes, we would.
Wilson has said multiple college football teams are interested in his services, according to Gustafson. The Asheville Tourists infielder would have to give back at least part of his $250,000 Rockies signing bonus, though [Auburn joke], so that's probably not all that big of a detriment anyway.
