ACC Baseball Championship, Georgia Tech Vs. FSU Score: Noles Oust Jackets, 4-2

The Florida St. Seminoles captured a third-straight trip to the 2011 ACC baseball tournament's championship game, giving the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets a 4-2 loss. The stumble removed Tech's chances of competing for the conference title.

The win boosts FSU's NCAA cred. While the Jackets are assured of a chance to chase the national title, the loss does harm their standing in advance of Monday's College World Series selection show.

The Noles put together a three-run third inning, with Tech starter Buck Farmer giving up seven hits and four runs in six innings. He wasn't helped much by his defense, which committed a trio of errors. FSU starter Mike McGee turned in five-and-a-third scoreless innings and also managed to help his own cause by reaching base twice.
