Russell Wilson's 'Grand Slam' Wisconsin Visit Includes Minor Violation

By all accounts the Auburn Tigers are battling the Wisconsin Badgers for the services of former N.C. State Wolfpack QB Russell Wilson. The passer took a trip to Madison last week that was described as a "grand slam" for the Badgers, a considerate metaphor indeed, as Wilson is also a minor league baseball player.

As CBS Sports' Tom Fornelli notes, that grand slam also included a minor violation by WR Nick Toon, who publicly said he met Wilson and hopes he comes to Wisconsin. It's not enough to get the program in trouble by any means, and Toon will certainly get a brief talking-to, but it does help illustrate how highly sought Wilson is by both of these teams.

For Auburn, Wilson could mean a chance to contend in the SEC West; for Wisconsin, it could mean even more.
