The 2011 College World Series' Atlanta Regional begins Friday, as do -- well -- all others. Click here for complete schedules from around the country. At Russ Chandler Stadium, the Mississippi St. Bulldogs open festivities with a game against the cross-state Southern Miss. Golden Eagles, and expect to see quite a few Dawgs fans in the house. In their lone meeting this season, MSU won 5-4 thanks in part to a three-hit performance by CF C.T. Bradford. Five-foot-six MSU lefty Luis Pollorena (4.44) will work the pitching matchup against Todd McInnis (2.61).
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will begin their quest to escape their own park after falling to Alabama and -- hey! -- Southern Miss there the last two years. The Austin Peay Governors will send lefthander Jeremy Dobbs (3.43) up against ace Mark Pope (1.77).
