NCAA Baseball, Atlanta Regional: Mississippi State In Driver's Seat

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets finally got hot at the plate in a 6-2 victory over the Southern Miss Golden Eagles Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Buck Farmer will get the start on the mound when they try to get revenge against Austin Peay at 3 p.m. Whoever wins the first game of the day will get a doubleheader and will face Mississippi State for the regional championship Sunday night. 

The Mississippi St. Bulldogs rode a seven-run inning and another strong pitching performance to an 8-3 win over the Austin Peay Governors Saturday night. With the win, the Bulldogs advance to the regional championship and are in the driver's seat to advance to a super regional. 

The complete double-elimination Atlanta Regional bracket and TV schedule (all games televised on CSS, all times ET):

Game 1: Mississippi State def. Southern Miss, 3-0

Game 2: Austin Peay def. Georgia Tech, 2-1

Game 3: Georgia Tech def. Southern Miss, 6-2

Game 4: Mississippi State def. Austin Peay, 8-3

Game 5: Georgia Tech vs. Austin Peay, June 5 at 3 pm

Game 6: Mississippi State vs. Game 5 winner, June 5 at 7 pm

Game 7, if necessary: Whoever remains standing, June 6 at 7 pm
