Georgia Tech Vs. Western Carolina Score: Yellow Jackets Take 42-21 Lead Into Halftime.

Georgia Tech wasted little time in getting its season off to a good start scoring on its first offensive play from scrimmage and take a 42-21 lead into halftime over the Western Carolina Catamounts. The Yellow Jackets scored 28 unanswered points in the first quarter before Western Carolina could semi find itself in the second. 

The Yellow Jackets forced a fumble on the Catamounts first possession and took control of the ball on the Western Carolina five yard line. Orwin Smith rambled five yards on Tech's first play from scrimmage giving the Yellow Jackets an early touchdown lead. Tech would add three more touchdown's in the first quarter with the highlighted by a Tevin Washington 82 yard touchdown to Steven Hill

Western Carolina got on the board early in the second quarter after a fumbled punt return by Tech's Euclid Cummmings set up the Catamounts at the Georgia Tech four yard line. Brandon Pechloff punched it in two plays later and Western Carolina trailed 28-7. 

Both teams would alternate touchdowns to end the quarter with the big play coming as Western Carolina's Isiah Moore blocked a Yellow Jackets punt and ran it in from 69 yards out with one second left in the half cutting the lead to 42-21.
