The comeback attempt by the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets fell short as they lost 64-62 against the Clemson Tigers. Georgia Tech trailed 34-19 at the half and they made a rally late in the second half but it was not enough. Clemson led 16 points with six minutes left in the game and Georgia Tech's Glen Rice Jr. starting a scoring spree and put up 13 straight points to cut the Clemson lead to five points with 31 seconds left.
Georgia Tech's Jason Morris hit a big three pointer with 27 second left to make it a three-point game, but Clemson's Andre Young then made two free throws which gave Clemson the lead for good.
Rice came off the bench to led all Georgia Tech players with 19 points and the loss drops Georgia Tech's record 8-11 overall and 1-4 in ACC play.
