Via the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Michael Carvell, Plant High School cornerback Antonio Crawford, who has been committed to Georgia Tech since last Summer, announced via Facebook that he would be traveling to Florida to visit Miami University after receiving a scholarship offer from the Hurricanes.
DB Antonio Crawford, who has been committed to Georgia Tech since last summer, will take an official visit to Miami this weekend, according to his Facebook page. Crawford wrote that he had been offered a football scholarship by Miami and he "was going to be in MIAMI this weekend to visit The U."
This is not the first time a player who has committed to Georgia Tech has continued to check out other schools. Paul Johnson has a unique stance on visits, essentially treating a visit as a sign that a player isn't committed. Defensive tackle Tre Jackson did the same after receiving later offers from the Hurricanes, the Florida Gators and Florida State Seminoles.
National Signing Day is Feb. 1, which is less than a week away, so this is bad timing for the Yellow Jackets. For more updates on Georgia Tech, visit From the Rumble Seat.
