Georgia Tech is close to being fully healthy this week after returning nearly all of its injured players at Monday's practice. Only Yellow Jackets center Jay Finch was limited to non-contact status at practice.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that it was Catlin Alford who took Finch's place on the field. Finch's injury has been undisclosed at least since last week. Safety Fred Holton has been out for the entire season while nursing a foot injury, but the AJC said he did run on Monday, which appears to be a good sign for Holton and Tech fans.
Last week's bye did the Yellow Jackets some good in giving dinged up players a chance to recover. Head coach Paul Johnson said Monday's practice wasn't quite as good as last week's, but there are a few more days to clean up.
Georgia Tech faces Boston College on Saturday. The Eagles are just 1-5 on the season and are coming off a blowout loss at the hands of Florida State last weekend.
