Georgia Tech broke a three-game losing streak last week with a win over Boston College. On Saturday, the Yellow Jackets will try for two straight wins when they welcome the BYU Cougars to town.
The two teams last played in 2003 in a game that BYU won 24-13.
At 4-4, the Cougars are coming off a heart-breaking loss to Notre Dame in which they led 14-7 at the half. Playing as an independent, three of BYU's four losses have come to ranked teams. Its defense has allowed just 14 points per game this season.
After allowing over 40 points in three straight weeks, the Georgia Tech defense got in gear against Boston College. The Yellow Jackets held the Eagles to 17 points and 296 total yards.
Georgia Tech needs to win three of its final five games to become bowl eligible.
