The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets head to Maryland to take on the Terrapins this Saturday in an ACC matchup. The Yellow Jackets are coming off an ugly 41-17 loss at the hands of the BYU Cougars.
Georgia Tech (3-5, 2-3 ACC) catches a bit of a break this week, as Maryland (4-4, 2-2 ACC) has been snake bit by injuries at the quarterback position. The Terrapins have lost four quarterbacks to injury this season, with Caleb Rowe being the latest to go down in a 20-17 loss to Boston College. The Terrapins also lost Danny O'Brien to transfer earlier this season.
With Rowe now on the shelf, Maryland has zero healthy scholarship quarterbacks on the roster. Freshman linebacker Shawn Petty will likely get the start this weekend.
Georgia Tech will look to continue their success on the ground. The Yellow Jackets are fourth in the country in rushing at 311.8 yards per game. However, Maryland will provide a stiff test, as the Terrapins are fourth in the country in rush defense.
Kick-off is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. ET at Byrd Stadium.
