Tajh Boyd, DeAndre Hopkins, and the Clemson Tigers have beat the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 47-31 in front of a capacity crowd at Clemson's Memorial Stadium. Boyd had an impressive outing at quarterback, going 26-of-41 for 397 yards and two touchdowns. He also amassed 63 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Early in the fourth quarter, Georgia Tech kicked a field goal to take the lead 31-30, but Clemson would stop them there and score 17 unanswered points en route to a victory. The Tigers took the lead with 10 minutes to go on a 35-yard touchdown pass to DeAndre Hopkins.
The Yellow Jackets' option offense put forth a great rushing attack today, totalling 341 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 44 carries, but a lost fumble and a fourth-quarter safety were enough to keep them out of the picture late.
