Good starts haven't become the norm for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets who actually carried a 25-24 lead into halftime against the Florida State Seminoles Wednesday night. However, the Jackets couldn't sustain that success from the first half and fell to the Seminoles 68-54 extending its losing streak to six games in the process.
Florida State outscored the Yellow Jackets 44-29 in the second half behind 21 points from Michael Snaer. The Seminoles also got 13 points from Bernard James and 11 points off the bench from Okaro White.
Brandon Reed scored 18 points to lead the Yellow Jackets who played this game without leading scorer Glen Rice Jr who sat out with a toe injury. Daniel Miller added 10 points and nine rebounds while freshman Julian Royal played 25 minutes and finished with eight points.
This loss drops the Yellow Jackets to 8-14 on the season and to 1-7 in the ACC. Florida State improves to 15-6 and 6-1 in the conference.
