Georgia Tech Vs. Boston College: Game Preview, TV Info And More

The Yellow Jackets begin wrapping up a disappointing season when they face a fellow ACC bottom dweller Wednesday night.

Georgia Tech plays their last road game of the year when they travel to Boston College Wednesday night.

Both teams, which used to be perennial ACC powers, have fallen off tough times recently. Both are breaking in new coaches, with Brian Gregory, formerly of Dayton, in his first year in Atlanta and Steve Donahue, formerly of Cornell, in his second in Boston.

The Yellow Jackets have stumbled to a disappointing 10-18 record and a 3-11 mark in the ACC, this year while their leading scorer, junior F Glen Rice Jr., has been suspended since the middle of February for an undisclosed violation of team rules.

However, Rice's absence seems to have galvanized his teammates, who stunned Maryland 63-61 on Saturday and lost to Virginia Tech in OT on Feb. 18.

They should be able to get by without his production against the Eagles, who have been neck-and-neck with him in a race to the bottom of the ACC all season with an 8-20 overall record and a 3-11 conference mark.

In the teams' first meeting, Georgia Tech scraped by 51-47 at home, getting 10 points each from 6'11 sophomore C Daniel Miller and 6'8 sophomore F Kammeon Holsey. 6'5 junior G Matt Humphrey led Boston College with 15 points on 6-10 shooting.

The 7:00 PM game will be broadcast regionally on Fox Sports South and streamed online at ESPN3.
