Talented Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets basketball player Glen Rice Jr. is no longer on the team after being charged with participating in a bizarre crime involving a member of the coaching staff. Rice was accused by police of allowing graduate assistant London Warren to drive while overly festive. Someone in the car allegedly proved just how festive by firing a gun while behind the wheel.

This all happened shortly after it was announced that Rice would remain suspended through the ACC Tournament. He hadn't played in several weeks to that point, and the suspension was his second during his time at Tech, with Paul Hewitt sitting him for a spell last season.

He was effective when he was able to get on the court, leading the team in scoring and rebounds this season.
