ACC Tournament 2012 Bracket Preview: Miami Vs. Georgia Tech

The final game of Thursday's 2012 ACC Tournament session pits Georgia Tech against Miami. The Hurricanes captured the No. 6 seed by going 18-11 overall and 9-7 in the ACC. Georgia Tech struggled throughout most of its season finishing 11-19 and 4-12 in conference play which was good enough for the eleventh seed.

Miami went 3-4 over its last seven games and won the only regular season matchup against the Yellow Jackets. The Hurricanes are led by Durand Scott (13.0 ppg) and Kenny Kadji (12.9 ppg).

Georgia Tech learned on Monday that the suspension of leading scorer Glen Rice Jr will extend into the ACC tournament. Interestingly, the Yellow Jackets won two of their last three games to escape last place in the conference without Rice. Head coach Brian Gregory has weathered the storm during his first season on the bench and has battled depth issues the entire season which are magnified without Rice.

Tip off from Philips Arena is scheduled for 9 pm on Thursday and the game will be televised on ESPNU.
