The No. 5 seeded North Carolina State Woldpack defeated the No. 4 seeded Virginia Cavaliers in their ACC Tournament quarterfinals game on Friday afternoon by a score of 67-64 in Atlanta's Philips Arena. The Wolfpack advances to the next round where they will play the No. 1 seeded North Carolina Tar Heels in the semifinals at 1 p.m. (ET) on ESPN.
NC State was led by C.J. Leslie, who scored 19 points against the Cavaliers on Friday afternoon. Lorenzo Brown also added 15 points and Richard Howell chipped in 10 points as well. Virginia was led by Mike Scott who scored 23 points against the Wolfpack, while Joe Harris added 18 and Akil Mitchell added 10 points. The Cavaliers had zero support from the bench as only two bench players got in the game and neither scored.
