The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets continue to train and prepare for their 2012 football season. It now appears as though they may have an unexpected addition to their team by the time fall rolls around.
According to Michael Carvell of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Auburn Tigers offensive lineman Thomas O'Reilly has decided he will transfer away from the school this year. One of his potential destinations is Georgia Tech. O'Reilly attended Pope High School and would likely play offensive guard if he were to become a Yellow Jacket.
O'Reilly was injured during his freshman season and was unable to play in the 2011 season. Per NCAA rules, O'Reilly will be ineligible to play in the 2012 season no matter what school he decides to transfer to. He would have three years of eligibility remaining beginning in 2013.
