Chris Griffin Commits To Georgia Tech Football Over Clemson, South Florida

Georgia Tech picked up commitment No. 8 for its 2013 recruiting class as Crawfordville, Florida offensive lineman Chris Griffin picked the Yellow Jackets over Clemson and South Florida among others. Griffin is rated as a 3-star prospect and is the third offensive lineman to commit to Paul Johnson for 2013. Griffin visited Tech on Wednesday along with his family and committed to the Yellow Jackets on the spot.

"You know how you go somewhere and you know it's just right? That's how I felt about Georgia Tech," Griffin told the AJC. "I knew it was the right place for me, so I went ahead and told them I was coming there."

Five of the eight commitments for 2013 are for the offensive side of the ball. The Yellow Jackets are expected to sign a rather small class of around 15 players in 2013.
