If Georgia Tech makes a run at an ACC football title this year, it won't be because they have the best players, at least according to the media who vote on the preseason All-ACC teams.
The Yellow Jackets were one of four teams, along with Duke, Miami and Wake Forest, who had only player selected.
Senior OG Omoregie Uzzi, already on the Outland Trophy and Lombardi Award watchlists, was the one Georgia Tech player who made the cut. He'll be expected to be a lead blocker for the Yellow Jackets triple-option attack next season, and he's considered at least a mid-round draft pick by most NFL draftniks.
As you would expect from a conference that has been mostly defined by parity over the last decade, no one school dominated the voting for the preseason teams. Florida State, Clemson and North Carolina all had four selections while Virginia Tech had three.
