Georgia Tech Football Preseason: Synjyn Days Getting Acquainted With A-Back Position

Backup quarterback Synjyn Days has been one of the more talked about players for Georgia Tech entering preseason camp because of his playmaking ability and his versatility. While Days still prefers the quarterback position he may have a hard time beating out incumbent starter Tevin Washington. Therefore he has been meeting with A-Backs coach Lamar Owens regularly to get more acquainted to that position.

"To be able to switch positions and be able to make plays on the field is kind of the way I was raised,"

Rather than have Days standing on the sideline, Tech coach Paul Johnson has indicated that Days could be used at A-Back or some other position. During summer workouts Days has been used at multiple positions including A-Back, B-Back and wide receiver. Days rushed for 237 yards last season with four touchdowns in mostly mop up duty.
